Locations

With a total of seven activity centres in some of Europe's finest outdoor environments, we have the perfect activity location to suit almost any group.

We believe the location of our centres to be one of the key factors that contributes to the ongoing success of our trips. Each location has been carefully selected for its suitability to the relevant activities.

Choose from either:

  • South West France - Les Landes
  • French Alps - Haute Savoie
  • South Coast of England - Dorset

South West France - Les Landes

This region of France has something for everyone. The long sandy Atlantic beaches stretch from the mouth of the Gironde near Bordeaux to the Basque country close to the Spanish border, offering fantastic surf conditions. Behind the Atlantic beaches lie dense pine forests and a string of very large freshwater lakes and it is on the shores of these lakes that our activity centres can be found.

The local towns and cities, ancient and modern, boast museums, galleries, historic sights and local festivals. South West France has scenery, sights and activities to suit every taste.

French Alps - Haute Savoie

The French Alps in summer offer a fantastic mix of hiking, sporting activities, pretty alpine villages and nature at its best. The Haut-Savoie region has some of the largest and most famous skiing areas in the world set above picture postcard villages nestling in the valleys. In summer however, the slopes are transformed into vast green spaces - ideal for hikers and cyclists.

City life can be experienced amongst the narrow streets of the ancient lakeside town of Annecy. Criss-crossed by canals, Annecy offers an intriguing journey through old and new, taking in grand châteaux, museums, chic shopping and typical French café culture.

Hotel Aravis, our first centre in this area opened its doors for our first groups in 2006 and has proved to be incredibly popular with pupils and teachers alike. Aravis is located near to the resort town of La Clusaz which, in the summer time, is a hive of activity, offering a range of mountain adventure activities in a spectacular setting. The Beauregard and L’Etale cable cars ensure you can reach great heights to enjoy the magnificent panoramic views and great walking; whilst the local villages have shops, restaurants and lively, local markets to make your stay comforatble and varied.

South Coast of England - Dorset

Poole, in Dorset, is set at the eastern edge of the Jurassic coast World Heritage site, with views of Corfe Castle and the ancient Saxon walled town of Wareham. Further west can be found Hardy’s Wessex, secretive Lulworth Cove, dramatic Chesil beach and romantic Lyme Regis. Dorset provides sights, history, activities, countryside and space for all.
